Section 2 B - West recap Oct. 3, 2012
Hudson Falls was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Section 2 B - West.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Schalmont.
Schuylerville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Horses feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shane Lyon has thrown for 235 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Austin Cook has seven catches for 152 yards. Lyon also leads the league in rushing with 444 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Glens Falls takes on the Tigers. The Indians are currently in first, while Hudson Falls is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Glens Falls takes on Bill STrong's team. Patrick Lilac's team has allowed 97 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 85.
The Indians moved up to 118 from 160 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 2 B - West. A 48-20 win over Broadalbin-Perth helped Glens Falls improve its standing.
