The North Cross Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Christchurch School on Saturday as North Cross made off with a 74-53 win.
North Cross was led to victory by Jesiah Hines and Antonio Mack. Hines scored 19 points along with six assists and four steals, while Mack scored 30 points along with six rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Mack has scored at least 25% of North Cross' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Krzeminski, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
North Cross is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Christchurch School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
North Cross will be playing at home against Eastern Mennonite at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Mennonite has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 270 points over their last four matchups. Christchurch School and Cape Henry Collegiate will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Cape Henry Collegiate is ranked 113th, while Christchurch School is ranked 126th).
