Baseball Recap: Hillel Academy Has No Trouble Against Maimonides

While Hillel Academy put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Maimonides. The Heat blew past the M-Cats 9-0. The Heat might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Hillel Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dovid Blalock, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The Heat are undefeated when Blalock posts three or more RBI, but 5-6 otherwise. Another was Ashi Itskowitz, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Hillel Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Maimonides, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Hillel Academy has already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against HAFTR Hebrew Academy on the 20th. As for Maimonides, they will be playing at home against Somerville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
