The Lackey Chargers lost against St. Charles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lackey was beaten by St. Charles 68-25. Lackey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
It was another big night for McKenzie Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals for St. Charles. Thomas hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Nayja Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lackey dropped their record down to 5-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Charles, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lackey will take on Thomas Stone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Charles, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Douglass at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th. Douglass is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
