Baseball Recap: Kewanee Takes a Loss

Kewanee lost against Monmouth United back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Boilermakers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Storm.

Ace LaFollette made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Kewanee: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-14 otherwise.

Kewanee has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Monmouth United, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-4.
