The New Waverly Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Robinson on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin.
It was another big night for Trevor Stephens, who scored 22 points along with 4 steals for Robinson. The contest was Stephens' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Matthew Nevarez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
New Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Waverly is on the road again on Friday and play against Buffalo at 1:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Robinson, they will square off against Gateway College Preparatory at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Gateway College Preparatory presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Robinson in Texas (Gateway College Preparatory is ranked 497th, while Robinson is ranked 1046th).
