Stansbury is 9-1 against Tooele since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stallions will look to defend their home field against the Buffaloes at 3:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Stansbury turned things around against Ogden on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Tyler Hadlock was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Andrew Harris was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Stansbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Tooele won against Hillcrest on Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Buffaloes blew past the Huskies 15-4. The win continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.
Madex Vonhatten was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Pratt, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stansbury has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Tooele struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stansbury came out on top in a nail-biter against Tooele in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. Will the Stallions repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
