Softball Recap: Huron Has No Trouble Against Margaretta

After only two runs in their last game, Huron made sure to put some runs up on the board against Margaretta on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Polar Bears with a sharp 16-3 win. Considering the Tigers have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Huron's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Margaretta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Huron will be taking part in a tournament against Carey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.78 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Margaretta, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Shelby at 11:00 a.m. The Polar Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Whippets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
