Softball Recap: Jourdanton's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Jourdanton won the last time they faced Randolph and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Jourdanton Indians/Squaws were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Randolph Ro-Hawks. The match marked the Indians/Squaws' most dominant win of the season so far.

Jill Martinez and Hailey Sralik were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Martinez didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Sralik tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. At bat, Martinez went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Sralik scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Sralik has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Maebry Jupe was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted over her last eight contests. Another player making a difference was Megan Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Jourdanton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Jourdanton's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Randolph, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Jourdanton has already played their next match (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Randolph, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Jourdanton on the 5th.
