East Prairie barely beat Delta the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 16-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Chloe Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Sophia Jordan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

East Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Delta, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, East Prairie has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Kennett at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Delta, they will head out to face off against North Pemiscot at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
