The Belvidere North Blue Thunder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Hononegah at home and fell 70-20. Belvidere North has not had much luck with Hononegah recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Belvidere North lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samantha Adams, who scored eight points.
Belvidere North dropped their record down to 4-22 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Hononegah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.
Belvidere North will play host again and welcome Rockford East, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Belvidere North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. Hononegah is on the road again on Thursday and plays Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hononegah has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
