On Wednesday, Suffield Academy humbled Holy Child with a 58-24 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Suffield Academy.
Despite the defeat, Holy Child saw an underclassman step up: Sofia Verlezza scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessia Paladino, who scored five points.
Suffield Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Holy Child, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suffield Academy will take on Williston Northampton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Holy Child, they will be playing at home against Hackley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
