Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Compton Early College). They took down the Animo City of Champions Wildcats 62-43 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Rising Phoenix with their most commanding win of the season.

Compton Early College has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Animo City of Champions, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Compton Early College will venture away from home to challenge Pacific Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Animo City of Champions, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Summit View West at 3:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
