Basketball Recap: Sean Alicea's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shiloh over Tri-Cities

Shiloh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 64-52 to the Tri-Cities Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 15th).

Several Generals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sean Alicea, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Alicea a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Johnson, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and six boards.

Sean Vandorn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tri-Cities, going 9 for 16 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Vandorn is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tre Keith, who went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Shiloh's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Tri-Cities, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Shiloh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-40 victory against Dunwoody on the 28th. Tri-Cities has also already played their next game, a 74-69 win against Woodward Academy on the 28th.
