The Browne Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Dobson Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Browne will be strutting in after a win while Dobson will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Browne took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 92-37 victory over Metro Tech. With Browne ahead 52-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Adam Chaffin was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jesus Solorio-Vasquez, who scored 4 points along with 10 steals and 9 assists.
Meanwhile, Dobson pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-61 to Tucson High Magnet School. While losing is never fun, Dobson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Tucson High Magnet School is ranked third).
The losses dropped Browne to 4-3 and Metro Tech to 1-6.
Browne was dealt a bruising 65-36 defeat at the hands of Dobson in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Browne, Jashawn Kinney (who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
