Given Cuyahoga Heights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Brooklyn is ranked 739th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashlyn Dyson and Olivia Callahan certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Dyson scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Callahan scored two points along with ten rebounds. That was a full 59.1% of Brooklyn's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cuyahoga Heights is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Brooklyn, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuyahoga Heights will take on Lutheran West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive. As for Brooklyn, they will play host again and welcome Bedford, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bedford is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
