Walled Lake Northern proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 30) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Walled Lake Central Vikings 35-32. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Vikings are ranked 27th).

Walled Lake Northern pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points over those games. As for Walled Lake Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walled Lake Northern will take on Arbor Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walled Lake Central, they will square off against South Lyon East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lyon East will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Walled Lake Central surely won't give up without a fight.
