Baseball Recap: Bald Knob Wins Going Away Against Riverview

Bald Knob got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on the Riverview Raiders with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chance Passmore and Gavin Mitsunaga did most of the damage at the plate: Passmore scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Mitsunaga scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Passmore has become a key player for Bald Knob: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dakota Shoebottom, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Bald Knob's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Riverview, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Bald Knob and Riverview will both be playing Rose Bud the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Ramblers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
