Centennial is 2-8 against Beechcroft since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Centennial Stars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beechcroft Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while Beechcroft will be coming in after a loss.
Centennial fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over Independence on Wednesday.
Beechcroft suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Northland at home and fell 83-52. While losing is never fun, Beechcroft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Northland is ranked 131st).
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Beechcroft, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Centennial barely slipped by Beechcroft in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 76-75. Will Centennial repeat their success, or does Beechcroft have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
