The South Paulding Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 67-29 victory over East Paulding. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win South Paulding has managed all season.
Leading South Paulding to victory were Chloe Vandyke and Lindsey Henry. Vandyke scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals, while Henry dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vandyke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaylah Middlebrooks, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, East Paulding still got an impressive performance from Aasiyah Mozelle, who scored 14 points.
South Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for East Paulding, they bumped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
South Paulding will challenge Newnan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newnan has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for East Paulding, they will be playing at home against Douglas County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Douglas County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
