The Piqua Indians struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Tippecanoe Red Devils had 1200% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Piqua was dealt a 67-35 defeat at the hands of Tippecanoe. Piqua has not had much luck with Tippecanoe recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the loss, Piqua still got an impressive performance from Drake Owen, who scored 12 points.
Tippecanoe can attribute much of their success to CJ Bailey, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Maddox Sivon, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Piqua's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tippecanoe, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piqua will challenge Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
