The Pembroke Dragons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Alexander Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Pembroke is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over Holley on Monday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jayden Hootman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Taylor Bischoff was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Diem Laney, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Pembroke kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Alexander made easy work of Holley on Tuesday and carried off a 14-2 victory.
Like Pembroke, Alexander also got a great game from a two-way player: Paige Morton. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Morton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Yax, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Payton Delelys was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Pembroke's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Alexander, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Alexander's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pembroke hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Alexander, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Pembroke's hitters?
Pembroke got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Alexander by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
