The Cleveland Warriors had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Barlow by a score of 57-46. This was payback for Cleveland, who suffered a 62-45 loss the last time these two teams met.
Cleveland can attribute much of their success to Addy Huss, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paulina Davis, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Barlow, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Cleveland will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tualatin at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Barlow, they will head out on the road to face off against Oregon City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
