On Friday, everything came up roses for Madison Prep Academy against Parkview Baptist as the squad secured a 55-3 win. Given Madison Prep Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Parkview Baptist is ranked 105th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for J'On Profit, who rushed for 169 yards and two scores on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Harlem Turner also helped with two touchdowns in total.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Madison Prep Academy's defense and their 5.5 sacks. In that department, Darius Mack was the leader with 2.5. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Madison Prep Academy received some extra help from Javen Holmes, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Southern Lab's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a blow against Denham Springs, falling 41-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Kittens have suffered since October 18, 2024.
The victory made it two in a row for Madison Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Southern Lab, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Madison Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern Lab in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 36-26. Will Madison Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Southern Lab has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
