Everything went their way against Rimrock as they made off with a 21-11 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Emalee Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Notus got a massive performance out of Fatima Alvarez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Alvarez a new career-high. Victoria Zamora was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Notus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .816. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greenleaf Friends Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Garden Valley, falling 18-0.
Notus' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Greenleaf Friends Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notus hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .432. It's a different story for Greenleaf Friends Academy, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Notus' hitters?
Notus took their victory against Greenleaf Friends Academy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
