Eau Claire is 0-6 against Dreher since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eau Claire Shamrocks are on the road again and play against the Dreher Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Eau Claire had to settle for a 55-52 defeat against Charlotte Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Eau Claire came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 177th in South Carolina, while Charlotte Christian is ranked 364th in North Carolina).
Meanwhile, Dreher unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against A.C. Flora, falling 91-52.
Despite the loss, Dreher saw an underclassman step up: Jamere Singleton scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Jordan Brown was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Eau Claire's record now sits at 2-6. Dreher's record now sits at 5-4.
Eau Claire came up short against Dreher when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 60-55. Can Eau Claire avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
