Panther Creek has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will face off against the Virginia Academy Patriots at 5:40 p.m. Panther Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Virginia Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Panther Creek made easy work of Richmond and carried off a 66-43 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-20.
Panther Creek had a senior duo take command as Taylor Barner scored 29 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks and Olivia Tucker scored 27 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Barner has scored at least 25% of Panther Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Kirstin Smalls, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Virginia Academy was the victim of a rough 70-48 defeat at the hands of Elizabeth Seton on Sunday.
Their wins bumped Panther Creek to 2-0 and Richmond to 2-3.
