Eminence made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,184 from 11,921. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 18-13 victory over Bracken County last week.
Frankfort's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Hawkins threw for 222 and three touchdowns and Aaron Jackson had 185 yards receiving. On the ground Jalen Washington chipped in 97 yards. Washington helped Frankfort's passing attack out by catching three balls for 29 yards.
Frankfort's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hawkins has thrown for 1557 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Jackson has 36 catches for 918 yards. Teantre McGee leads the league in rushing with 437 yards.
The Panthers' Jackson is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 82 receiving yards against the Polar Bears to hit that benchmark.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Frankfort takes on Bracken County. Craig Foley's team's offense has racked up 257 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Michael Sizemore's team has allowed only 88 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on the Polar Bears. Frankfort is in first place, while Bracken County is in third place.
The Panthers led 1A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on Paris. Hawkins ran for 22 yards in the win.
