Football Recap: Fort Hill Takes Down Northern Garrett in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort Hill had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Northern Garrett Huskies 35-0. The Sentinels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Jabril Daniels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fort Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 231 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.

Fort Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Braelyn Younger. Another thorn in Northern Garrett's side was Nick Willison, who picked up a sack and made 20 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Fort Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for Northern Garrett, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

As of now, neither Fort Hill nor Northern Garrett have any future games scheduled.
