After two games on the road, Camden County is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Camden County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 games -- so hopefully Andrew Jackson likes a good challenge.
Camden County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Raines on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 62-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (57), Camden County still had to take the loss.
Loss or not, Camden County got some senior leadership from Antwann Brown who shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds and Kaleb Murray who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Ja'Marley Riddle was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson came tearing into Saturday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Savannah by a score of 66-59. Given Andrew Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 18th in Florida, while Savannah is ranked 101st in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
