Softball Recap: Yerington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Yerington entered their tilt with Silver Stage on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Nighthawks get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Amaree Savage was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Yessenia Zarazua, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Yerington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only posted an OBP of .200.

Yerington's record now sits at 13-5. As for Silver Stage, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Yerington will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Nighthawks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
