The San Pasqual Academy Dragons proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 36) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Warner out 49-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Pasqual Academy.
Despite the loss, Warner still got an impressive performance from Angel Carachure, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Carachure is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Omar Acosta, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
San Pasqual Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Warner, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
San Pasqual Academy will head out on the road to challenge West Shores at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Shores is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Warner, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Julian at 3:30 p.m. Julian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
