The New Covenant School Cavaliers won the last time they faced the Greenville Classical Academy Lions, and things went their way on Friday too. New Covenant School snuck past Greenville Classical Academy with a 47-43 win.
Despite the loss, Greenville Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Harris Myers, who scored 27 points. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Schvaneveldt, who scored nine points.
New Covenant School's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Greenville Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Covenant School will challenge Temple Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Temple Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. Greenville Classical Academy is on the road again on Monday and play against Bob Jones Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. One thing working in Bob Jones Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
