The Grand Ledge Comets will be home for the holidays to greet the St. Johns Redwings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Grand Ledge has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while St. Johns will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Grand Ledge came up short against Holt and fell 60-51. While losing is never fun, Grand Ledge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Holt is ranked 65th).
Meanwhile, St. Johns earned a 58-45 victory over Charlotte on Tuesday. 58 seems to be a good number for St. Johns as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Grand Ledge bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Johns, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Grand Ledge was able to grind out a solid win over St. Johns in their previous meeting back in March, winning 42-33. Will Grand Ledge repeat their success, or does St. Johns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
