The Riverside Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Fullerton with points to spare, taking the game 59-42. That 59-42 margin sets a new team best for Riverside this season.
Jack Molt was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Drew Carraher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Fullerton saw an underclassman step up: Kane Wetovick scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrick Gonsior, who scored eight points.
Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Fullerton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Riverside will be playing at home against Chambers/Wheeler Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chambers/Wheeler Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Fullerton, they will head out on the road to face off against Twin River on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Kirk Hebda and Wetovick.
