The Chilhowee Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 76-59 fall against Ballard. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Cade Callahan, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds for Ballard. Another player making a difference was Payson Hill, who scored 22 points.
Chilhowee has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Ballard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-15.
Chilhowee will head out on the road to challenge Appleton City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ballard, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kingsville at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. The timing isn't great for Ballard: they have been struggling with 14 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Kingsville has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
