The American History Bald Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against People's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. American History's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so the 's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Friday, everything went American History's way against the Eagles as the Bald Eagles made off with a 41-18 win. The victory was just what American History needed coming off of a 56-16 loss in their prior match.
American History found their leader in underclassman Erica Lawson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. Lawson is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Stanley, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to People's Prep, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 56-10 to Bard Early College, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
American History is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for People's Prep, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for American History against the in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-11 win. Does American History have another victory up their sleeve, or will the turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
