The Rangeview Raiders will head out to challenge the Denver East Angels at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rangeview has 18 straight wins, Denver East has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Rangeview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: George Washington, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Rangeview was ranked first). Rangeview came out on top against George Washington by a score of 61-51 on Friday. The Raiders pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Ladavian King was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high. Marceles Duncan was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.
Meanwhile, Denver East didn't have quite enough to beat Denver South on Saturday and fell 67-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (57), the Angels still had to take the loss.
Rangeview will need to focus on slowing down NIJIER ALEXANDER, one of several Denver East players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, ALEXANDER now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of JAMES MURRAY, who went 5 of 9 to rack up 16 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Denver East's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Rangeview, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Rangeview hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 73.1 points per game. However, it's not like Denver East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Rangeview strolled past Denver East in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 83-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rangeview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
