On Friday Lone Tree take on H-L-V at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
There's no need to mince words: Lone Tree lost to Iowa Valley last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 16-56.
Meanwhile, H-L-V took the game and then some with a 58-20 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point they had established a 44-20 advantage.
H-L-V's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Lone Tree's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if H-L-V's success rolls on or if Lone Tree are able to steal their positive momentum.
