Last Thursday, Moshannon Valley took a serious blow against Williamsburg, falling 68-38. While losing is never fun, Moshannon Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while Williamsburg is ranked 199th).
West Branch has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Juniata Valley 95-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Moshannon Valley's defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for West Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Moshannon Valley took a serious blow against West Branch when the teams last played back in February, falling 83-49. Thankfully for Moshannon Valley, Kyle Kolesar (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
