South Summit is 0-5 against Carbon since December of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The South Summit Wildcats will be playing at home against the Carbon Dinos at 7:00 p.m. South Summit is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when South Summit faced off against Union last Thursday. South Summit walked away with a 48-38 win over Union. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Emma Broadbent was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 24 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last 47 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Mariah Bowen, who posted 16 points and four steals.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Carbon rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They really took it to the Scots for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-13 victory. The Dinos' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Carbon found their leader in freshman Elsie Morley, who scored ten points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave Morley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Curtis, who put up 13 points.
Carbon was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
South Summit pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. As for Carbon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Summit has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Carbon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
South Summit took a serious blow against Carbon when the teams last played back in December of 2020, falling 59-31. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Summit was down 36-15.
