Norwayne and Lutheran East squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Norwayne had to settle for second. They fell 64-56 to the Lutheran East Falcons. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Norwayne's loss came despite strong showings from Tyson Hess and Parker Metsker. Hess shot 64% from the field en route to 25 points and seven boards, while Metsker posted 11 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Metsker is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braden West, who scored 15 points.

Norwayne's loss dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Lutheran East, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Norwayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lutheran East, they will challenge Richmond Heights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Richmond Heights sitting on seven straight wins and Lutheran East on 12.
