The West Point-Beemer Cadets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 55-49 win over Douglas County West. The win was some much needed relief for West Point-Beemer as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
West Point-Beemer was led to victory by Mia Hunke and Campbell Snodgrass. Hunke scored nine points along with 15 rebounds, while Snodgrass scored 14 points along with four steals. Hunke also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Nevaeh Weborg was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
West Point-Beemer's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Douglas County West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point-Beemer will be home for the holidays to greet Wayne on Thursday. Wayne and West Point-Beemer are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Douglas County West will be home for the holidays to greet Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
