The Westminster Christian Academy Lions lost against the Piedmont Academy Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Westminster Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 73-41 loss at the hands of Piedmont Academy. Westminster Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.
It was another big night for Marissa Holder, who shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 18 rebounds for Piedmont Academy. Holder is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Ellen Stroud, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Westminster Christian Academy dropped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Piedmont Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Piedmont Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
