They were dealt a 54-20 defeat at the hands of Pleasant View Christian. Victory Baptist Academy has not had much luck with Pleasant View Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Pleasant View Christian found their leader in underclassman Gwen Carr, who scored 17 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Carr has scored at least 25% of Pleasant View Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hollynn Carney, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Victory Baptist Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Pleasant View Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Temple Baptist Academy at 12:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Pleasant View Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Christian Community will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
