The Culver Community Cavaliers were the 40-24 winner over the Oregon-Davis Bobcats when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Culver Community falling 66-49. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adria Guasp, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Rodgers, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Culver Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Oregon-Davis, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Culver Community's road trip will continue as they head out to face LaVille at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. LaVille is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Oregon-Davis, they will head out on the road to challenge Hammond Academy of Science & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hammond Academy of Science & Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Monday.
