Valley recap September 17, 2013
San Marcos moved up to 289 from 415 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Valley. The Knights climbed the ranks as a result of besting Westview 51-46.
Mt. Carmel and Rancho Bernardo played the most contested game in the league this week, with Mt. Carmel eventually emerging with a 23-20 victory. Kory Fox threw for 93 yards and ran for 47 yards during the win.
San Marcos' dynamic duo of Will Freed and Isiah Hennie proved tough for the Wolverines to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Freed threw for 539 yards and 5 touchdowns and Hennie had 287 yards receiving. Tyler Nix helped San Marcos' passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 107 yards.
Coach Texler's team's dynamic duo of Freed and Hennie proved to be unstoppable against Westview, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Davion Fuller was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 105 yards on 16 carries as the Sundevils bested Mike Woodward's team.
Freed put up the best numbers in passing as San Marcos defeated the Wolverines.
Hennie was the best receiver in Valley this week as the Knights beat Westview.

The Knights' Freed and Hennie have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Freed has thrown for 1,143 yards this season, while Hennie has 22 catches for 493 yards. Roger Rickman from Orange Glen leads the league in rushing with 372 yards.
The Patriots lost to Hoover 57-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Rickman was a bright spot for Orange Glen, as he ran for 35 yards in the defeat.
