Sullivan is a perfect 10-0 against Owen Valley since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Arrows will look to defend their home field against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Sullivan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Sullivan will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Shakamak on Saturday. Mylee Vandevender made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Vandevender was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Sullivan got a massive performance out of Jaylynn Hobbs, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Aphtyn Earley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Owen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Bloomington North. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered since April 12th.
Like Sullivan, Owen Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Haley Amador. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Amador was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Amador wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Claire Paquette, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Makynlee Bonds was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
