After four games on the road, Covenant is heading back home. They will take on the Prince of Peace Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, Covenant had to suffer through a rough 57-15 loss at the hands of Brook Hill. Covenant was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.
Meanwhile, Prince of Peace came up short against Shelton on Tuesday and fell 28-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Prince of Peace has scored all season.
Covenant's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.2 points per game. As for Prince of Peace, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Covenant was dealt a bruising 54-10 loss at the hands of Prince of Peace when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Covenant, Kate Webb (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
