The Bellbrook Golden Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Ross Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Ross will be up against a hot Bellbrook team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Golden Eagles came out on top against Clinton-Massie by a score of 9-4 on Thursday.
Chasidy Stewart (OH Christian) was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kelsey Kenney (2027) and Kori Place (2026) did most of the damage at the plate: Kenney (2027) went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Place (2026) went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Place (2026) has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taitum Savey (2025), who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bellbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Ross' offense. They fell just short of Bellbrook by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.
Ross saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meadow Webb, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Ross moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Bellbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Bellbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Ross when the teams last played on Wednesday, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
